Marcos distributes patient transport vehicles in Mindanao
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. led the distribution of patient transport vehicles in Northern Mindanao on Tuesday.
“Noong nakaraang taon, nangako tayo na ang lahat ng lalawigan ng bansa ay makakatanggap ng PTVs. Simula noon, 291 PTVs ang naipamahagi natin,” Marcos said during the distribution in Cagayan de Oro City.
(Last year, we promised that all provinces in the country would receive PTVs. Since then, we have distributed 291 PTVs.)
“Bilang patunay sa pagtupad ng pangakong ito, ngayong araw ay magkakaloob naman tayo ng 91 PTVs—85 para sa Northern Mindanao, anim para sa BARMM,” he added.
(As proof of the fulfillment of this promise, today we will be providing 91 PTVs—85 for Northern Mindanao and six for BARMM.)
The initiative is part of the P2.2 billion budget allocated for the purchase of 1,000 ambulances to be distributed across the country.
The project aims to enhance preparedness and response to calamities and disasters at both local and national levels.
These state-of-the-art and reliable PTVs are being handed over to local government units (LGUs) and hospitals through the Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program (MTVDP) of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
Each patient transport vehicle is equipped with a stretcher, oxygen tank, and blood pressure monitor, all designed to ensure timely and safe transportation of patients. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
