Kiko gets Eastern Samar governor's backing; Bam meets Cebu's top exec
Former Senator Kiko Pangilinan secured the endorsement of Eastern Samar governor Ben Evardone for his May 2025 Senate comeback bid.
Evardone was seen posing with the Kiko sign with other local officials during Pangilinan’s courtesy visit at the provincial capitol. The photos and videos were provided by Pangilinan’s campaign team.
Also on Friday, former Senator Bam Aquino met Cebu governor Gwen Garcia in a courtesy call.
Aquino, in a statement, said he congratulated Garcia for being recently recognized as the “Outstanding Public Servant of the Year”.
Aquino said he and Garcia talked about the pilot run of the P20 per kilo rice in the Visayas, a project of the Marcos administration, and that he supports the initiative.
Cebu has the largest number of registered voters with 3.4 million voters.
A day earlier, Pangilinan also bagged the endorsement of a Quezon City councilor while Aquino was endorsed by several Zamboanga del Norte leaders. —Llanesca Panti/LDF, GMA Integrated News
