VP Sara praises workers’ resilience, hard work on Labor Day
Vice President Sara Duterte on Thursday commended the Filipino workers for their diligence, hoping that they will remain strong and persistent despite the challenges in life.
In her Labor Day message, Duterte said that the success of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), medical and security frontliners, community workers, teachers, and all those working in the public and private sectors should be celebrated.
“Ngayong araw na ito, tayo ay nagbibigay-pugay sa lahat ng manggagawang Pilipino na patuloy na nagsusumikap para sa ikauunlad ng kani-kanilang buhay, pamilya, at komunidad,” she said in a video message.
(Today, we pay tribute to all Filipino workers who continue to strive for the betterment of their lives, their families, and communities.)
“Ako ay sumasaludo sa inyong katatagan, talino, at kasipagan na inyong ipinapakita sa inyong kani-kaniyang sektor, sa loob man o sa labas ng bansa,” she added.
(I salute the resilience, intelligence, and hard work that you show in your respective sectors, whether within or outside the country.)
