Marcos wants review of rules on continuing professional development
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. urged Thursday the Professional Regulation Commission and the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Council to study its regulations to help ease the burden of professionals and practitioners.
In his speech during the 123rd Labor Day celebration, Marcos acknowledged the hardships being experienced by professionals in the process of renewing their licenses.
(I know your hardships when renewing your IDs. A lot of you experience challenges and expenses in obtaining trainings for your license renewal.)
(That's why I call on the PRC and the CPD Council to revisit your regulations. Let's see if the trainings that we're doing are appropriate.)
The CPD is a requirement for all licensed and registered professionals before they can renew their Professional Identification Cards issued by the PRC, according to the Presidential Communications Office.
The CPD Act of 2016 aims to continuously improve the competence of Filipino professionals through training, seminars, and workshops to renew their licenses, it added.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
