Go widens lead among Senate bets in April survey —Pulse Asia

Senator Bong Go has widened his lead over ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo and other senatorial candidates in the latest Pulse Asia survey for the May 12 elections released on Monday.

The Pulse Asia survey, conducted last April 20 to 24, showed Go topping the field with 62.2% rating among Senate bets, followed by Tulfo with 42.4%.

Go’s rating was up from his previous 61.9% in the March Pulse poll.

Tulfo’s 42.4%, on the other hand, was a drop from his 51.1% rating in the March Pulse survey.

Others who have statistical chance to making it to top 12 or the winners’ circle are:

  • former Senate president Vicente Sotto III (41.1%)
  • Senator Ronald dela Rosa (41.0%)
  • Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. (35.6%)
  • former senator Panfilo Lacson (33.8%)
  • broadcaster Ben Tulfo (33.5%)
  • Senator  Manuel Lapid (32.2%)
  • Makati City Mayor Mar-len Abigail Binay (30.2%)
  • Senator Pia Cayetano (29.9%)
  • television host Willie Revillame (28.6%)
  • Las Piñas City Representative Camille Villar (28.3%)
  • former senator Emmanuel Pacquiao (28.3%)
  • former senator Paolo Benigno Aquino IV (25.4%).

All of those in the Top 12 had decreased ratings compared with the March Pulse survey except for Go.

Pulse Asia conducted the poll on 2,400 respondents aged 18 years old and above. The survey has a + 2% error margin at the 95% confidence level.

Subnational estimates for ech of the geographic areas covered in the survey (i.e., Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) have a + 6% error margin for Metro Manila, + 3% for the rest of Luzon, ‡ 4% for Visayas and Mindanao, also at 95% confidence level. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
