Erwin Tulfo tops SWS May 2025 senatorial survey


ACT-CIS party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo took the lead in the latest senatorial survey for Eleksyon 2025 conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

The survey, conducted from May 2 to 6 and commissioned by Stratbase Group, showed that 45% of respondents will vote for Tulfo if the elections were held that day.

Reelectionist Senator Bong Go secured the second spot with 43%. In the previous survey of SWS, Go was in the top spot with 45%.

In the latest SWS poll, former Senate president Tito Sotto rose to 3rd place with 37% preference, followed by Senator Lito Lapid and broadcaster Ben Tulfo, who both received 34%.

On the other hand, former senator Panfilo ''Ping'' Lacson jumped to 6th place with 32% preference from 11th in the previous survey.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay and Senator Ronald ''Bato'' Dela Rosa were tied in the 7th-8th spots with 31%.

Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar and Senator Pia Cayetano were in the 9-10 spots with 30%

Senators Bong Revilla and Imee Marcos, meanwhile, were tied in 11th-12th place with 29%.

The survey was done through face-to-face interviews of 1,800 registered voters (18 years old and above) nationwide.

The respondents were asked who they will vote if the elections were held that day. They were given an envelope containing a ballot with the names of the 66 senatorial candidates in alphabetical order and asked to shade the name of their preferred bet.

The survey has a sampling error margins of ±2.31% for national percentages, ±3.27% for Balance Luzon, and ±5.66% each for Metro Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
