MRT-3 on heightened alert for Eleksyon 2025

The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) is on heightened security alert starting Friday for the expected influx of passengers due to the midterm elections on Monday.

“Nakatutok ang mga security personnel para mapanatili ang kaayusan sa mga istasyon, samantalang mayroon ding mga naka-deploy na lokal na pulis sa help desks na maaaring lapitan para sa anumang security concern,” the MRT-3 said in a statement.

(Security personnel are focused on maintaining order at the stations, while local police officers are also deployed at help desks who can be approached for any security concerns.)

Aside from this, K-9 units from MRT-3 and the Philippine Coast Guard are also deployed for additional security against possible bomb threats.
