The Vice President was wearing a black polo shirt and specifically voted inside cluster precinct number 352.
"'Yung sa akin naman, medyo mabagal lang, naglo-loading siya ng mga ilang seconds lang. Hindi automatic ‘yung kanyang pagbasa at pagpasok ng ballot," VP Sara told reporters after she voted, recalling her experience with the new automated counting machine.
(The reading of my ballot was a bit slow. Loading took a few seconds. The reading and inserting of the ballot was not automatic.)
Asked why she chose to wear a black polo shirt, she said that was because these are "dark times for the country."
"Hindi talaga nakakatuwa ‘ung nangyayari sa bayan natin. We would expect kung meron continuity, ibig sabihin merong continuity ng Build, Build, Build projects, but apparently we don't see that at all," she added.
(What is happening in our country now is not really good. We expected that there would be a continuity of the Build, Build, Build projects, but apparently we don't see that at all.)
Also included in the list of voters at DRANHS is her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is running for mayor in Davao City.
Rodrigo, however, is currently detained at the Scheveningen Prison in The Hague, Netherlands for charges of crimes against humanity for the extrajudicial killings during his administration’s war on drugs.
