PPCRV expects election returns 30 minutes after voting closes
The first batch of election returns for the 2025 Philippine elections may be transmitted by 7:30 p.m., the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said Monday.
“We’re anticipating we will get the first results coming in between 7:30 to 7:50 p.m., and then in a few hours, siguro, baka (maybe) we will know some of the winners in the local elections,” PPCRV spokesperson Ana Singson said in a press briefing.
“We’re anticipating na mas mabilis ang halalan ngayon (that the election will be more efficient," she added.
Singson also noted that PPCRV observed long queues in voting precincts early in the morning.
“Ang aga ng mga pila. [As early] as 7:15 a.m, 8 a.m., may pila na. Iba itong pattern na 'to in the past years,” Singson said.
(Long queues were observed as early as 7:15 a.m, 8 a.m.This is different from the past elections.)
The polls will close at 7 p.m., but Singson said late voters are still expected.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
