PPCRV yet to obtain 18% of transmitted votes to match Comelec's data

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has yet to acquire 18% of transmitted votes from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to have matched data.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, PPCRV spokesperson Ana Singson said the church-based watchdog currently has 79.9% of transmitted votes, while Comelec has 98%.

“Nandito yung file sa transparency server, but not in a format na mako-convert namin so we publish it to you. So, yung format has to be in a format we can process. We’re waiting for the processable data (from Comelec),” Singson said.

Singson also said PPCRV has yet to hear from the Comelec regarding this matter.

“We have faith that there will be an explanation, that there will be transparency and a full explanation,” Singson said.

“Sayang lang po na ang bilis pero hindi nakikita with the same speed,” she added.

She noted that the 18% of transmission votes is crucial since it could affect the positions of the senatorial candidates.

“You’re talking about 98% and we’re not seeing 18%. That could affect the last two to three positions of the senatorial race, so that’s huge,” Singson said. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
