Comelec proclaims 12 winning senators for Eleksyon 2025

Comelec has proclaimed the 12 winning senators for Eleksyon 2025.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday officially proclaimed the 12 winning senators for Eleksyon 2025.

The proclamation was held at the Tent City at the Manila Hotel, with the senators-elect joined by their family. Only Senator-elect Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan skipped the proclamation activity as he was set to attend the graduation of his daughter in the US.

Comelec chairperson George Erwin Garcia led the reading of the certificates of proclamation, containing the official voting count for the senators-elect.

In his speech, Garcia reiterated a historic voter turnout for the May polls as he recognized the role of the youth in the midterm voting.

(This shows that more Filipinos are now aware of the power of their votes.)

(Among the voters, the voice of the youth was the loudest. The millennials and Gen Zs, who were often thought of as silent, joined and fought for our future. They can no longer be accused of being on the sidelines of history.)

(We witness them forge history with their ballots, as if saying, "we are here, and we want to be part of the future.")

Based on the national certificate of canvass, reelectionist Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go is set to get his second term in office, emerging as the top vote-getter in the 2025 May midterm elections with 27,121,073 votes.

Former Senator Bam Aquino, meanwhile, will make his Senate comeback in the 20th Congress, landing at second with 20,971,899.

Aquino was followed by reelectionist Senator Ronald dela Rosa with 20,773,946 votes in third place.

Erwin Tulfo ranked fourth with 17,118,881 while Kiko Pangilinan landed at fifth with 15,343,229 votes.

Sagip Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta was sixth with 15,250,723.
