Jay Ruiz told by Marcos to 'continue his job'
Presidential Communications Officer Ad Interim Secretary Jay Ruiz was tasked to continue his job, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said on Tuesday.
During a press briefing, Castro was asked about Ruiz's status after the Commission on Appointments deferred the deliberation on his appointment as PCO chief.
''Ayon po sa Pangulo at ayon na rin po kay Secretary Jay, sabi po ng Pangulo ay magtuluy-tuloy lang po sa kaniyang pagtatrabaho,'' Castro said.
(According to the President and Secretary Jay, the President told him to continue his job.)
This will not affect the PCO's campaign against fake news, Castro said.
Ruiz took his oath as the new chief of the PCO in February. No other than President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. administered Ruiz’s oath of office. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
