First Lady Liza tells Marcos on Father's Day: You're the heart of our home

First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos greets President Bongbong Marcos on Father's Day 2025

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Sunday shared a collage of photos of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr with their three sons in celebration of Father’s Day.

In her greeting, the First Lady said Marcos is not just an "amazing dad – you’re the heart of our home.”

“Thanks for being the calm in our chaos and the king of our castle [even if I’m still the Queen],” the First Lady said in a social media post.

“Today, we celebrate the man our children look up to … and the husband I still look at with love [and occasional exasperation ]. Love you forever,” she added.

In a separate social media post, Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander ''Sandro'' Marcos, eldest son of President Marcos, posted a collage of photos of him together with his father and his grandfather, the late president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

“Thank you for being our everyday heroes. Today, we celebrate you! Happy Father’s Day to all dads!” Sandro said as he conveyed his greeting.

In a video posted online, Vinny, the youngest son, said the President always gave all five love languages.

“He always spent time with us. He gave us gifts growing up. So yeah, I think... best of all worlds,” Vinny said.

He noted that his best moments with the President are the times when they spent time together, like kayaking or watching television.

“My dad always told me, pikon, talo. So don't let other people's emotions get in the way of what you're trying to do and what you believe in,” Vinny said, as he recalled the best advice he got from his father.

“Happy Father's Day, Pop. Thanks for always being there for me. And thanks for being someone that I can always look up to. Love you, Pop,” he said.

Meanwhile, Simon, the middle child, took the chance to thank the President as he greeted him for Father’s Day.

“I'm just here to tell you that you're the best possible father I could ever have. And thank you so much for being there. I couldn't have gone anywhere without you. I love you so much. And I hope you are having the best Father's Day possible. Love you to bits,” Simon said.

Meanwhile, Sandro thanked their father for his “constant guidance.”

“It's an honor for me to learn from you on a daily basis,” Sandro said.

“I couldn't ask for a better dad. I couldn't ask for a better mentor. And I couldn't ask for anyone better than you to work with,” he added.

Sandro also thanked the President for his service to the country.

“Thank you for everything that you do for the country, and for standing up for what you believe is right. For being resolute in the face of adversity,” Sandro said.

“And I hope that despite your busy, busy schedule that you can at least hopefully find some time to rest,” he added. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/KG, GMA Integrated News
