OVER 30 COPS, CIVILIANS LINKED

Female celebrity tagged in missing sabungeros case

A famous female showbiz personality is among the "alpha" members involved in the disappearance of at least 100 sabungeros or cockfight enthusiasts, according to alias "Totoy," one of the accused in the kidnapping case.

According to Emil Sumangil's report on 24 Oras on Thursday, the name of the celebrity is included in the affidavit that he is set to submit to authorities.

(There is a female celebrity involved in the missing sabungeros case that I will not name yet. She is among the alpha members or included in the inner circle.)

"Isa rin siya 'pag nagmeeting-meeting andu'n siya. Isa rin siya na susi kung sakali. Siya ang mas marami din alam," Totoy said, adding the celebrity should also face charges along with more than 30 civilians and police officers.

(She was present during the meetings. She was one of the key people because she has more knowledge about this case.)

Totoy added that his affidavit is ready and will be submitted once he completes the evidence. He is also seeking to have people who would back up his allegations.

The National Police Commission (Napolcom) is currently conducting an initial investigation regarding Totoy's claims.

Rafael Calinisan said.

(The complainant should come forward. If he is watching this, he should reach out to Napolcom. We must talk with him. He should be the one to file the complaint with Napolcom so we can act on it.)

(The Napolcom is the police's police. I'm not comfortable knowing that some police officers or members of the Philippine National Police are involved in the missing sabungeros case. We will not hesitate to discipline, remove from service, or dismiss the involved police officers, as necessary.) — Mariel Celine Serquiña/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
