Palace says Ruiz remains as PCO acting secretary
Malacañang on Friday said that former broadcast journalist Jay Ruiz will remain in his post as the acting chief of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
During a press conference, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro was asked about the supposed reorganization in the agency as some reports said that Ruiz would be replaced.
''Wala pa pong nakakarating sa akin. Secretary Jay remains to be the acting secretary of PCO. So, kung may mga ugung-ugong, wala pong nakakarating sa amin,'' Castro said.
(I have no information. Secretary Jay remains to be the acting secretary of PCO. If there are rumors, none has come to our attention.)
Early this month, Ruiz was reappointed by President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. as acting secretary of the PCO.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said Ruiz's reappointment paper was released on June 16.
To recall, the Commission on Appointments deferred the deliberation on Ruiz's appointment as PCO chief.
Ruiz had expressed gratitude to the President for his continued trust and confidence to lead the PCO. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
