Valenzuela, Malabon water service to be cut off for 12 hours

MANILA, Philippines - Some areas of Valenzuela and Malabon will experience a water service interruption for 12 hours starting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2008, until 7:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2008. In an announcement, Maynilad Water Services Inc. (MWSI) said that the service disruption is âdue to the looping and rectification of the 200-mm interconnection to the existing 900-mm mainline along McArthur Highway corner Tamaraw Subdivision, Valenzuela City." Among affected areas include Brgy. Malinta, Brgy. Karuhatan, San Miguel Corporation, Cosmos Bottling Corporation, Valenzuela General Hospital, Brgy. Marulas, Brgy. Gen. T. De Leon, SM City Valenzuela, Calalang General Hospital, Santisimo Espiritu Hospital, and Hernandez Hospital in Valenzuela and Brgy. Maysilo, Brgy. Santolan and Brgy. Panghulo in Malabon. Areas expected to experience low water pressure and possible service interruption Brgy. Rincon, Brgy. Pasolo, Brgy. Arkong Bato, Brgy. Palasan, Brgy. Polo, Brgy. Poblacion, Brgy. Pariancillo-Villa, Brgy. Balangkas, Brgy. Bisig, Brgy. Tagalag, Brgy. Isla, Brgy. Malanday, Brgy. Veinte Reales, Brgy. Dalandanan, Brgy. Maysan, Obando Water District, Meycauayan Water District, Brgy. Coloong, and Polo General Hospital, Valenzuela. Maynilad, which distributes water to Metro Manilaâs West Zone, advised customers to store water for the duration of the disruption.
