Jay Ruiz denies he will be replaced as PCO chief
Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Jay Ruiz on Monday denied that he would be leaving the communications arm of the Marcos administration.
Speaking to Palace reporters, Ruiz dismissed the information that he will be transferred to the Presidential Action Center and that he will be replaced as chief of the PCO.
Ruiz also said that unless otherwise directed, he would continue to lead the communications agency.
''I'm serving at the pleasure of the President,'' he said.
''Whatever happens, I will be forever grateful for the opportunity,'' Ruiz added.
Ruiz also said he does not know where the rumors of him getting replaced came from.
Early this month, Ruiz was reappointed by President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. as acting secretary of the PCO.
To recall, the Commission on Appointments deferred the deliberation on Ruiz's appointment as PCO chief. —AOL/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
