DepEd: Reports on Saturday classes ‘fake news’

The Department of Education on Tuesday tagged as fake news reports on alleged addition of Saturday classes for elementary to senior high school students.

“Fake news ang kumakalat na social media post tungkol sa umano’y pagdaragdag ng Saturday classes sa elementary hanggang senior high school,” the DepEd said in a statement.

(The circulating social media post about the alleged addition of Saturday classes in elementary to senior high schools is fake news.)

“Muling pinaaalalahanan ng DepEd ang publiko na mag-ingat at maging mapanuri laban sa anumang uri ng misinformation,” he added.

(DepEd once again reminds the public to be cautious and critical against any kind of misinformation.)

The DepEd advised the public to visit the official DepEd Philippines social media accounts for announcements and information.
