Patidongan says those who know about sabungero abductions share same tattoo
Whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan said that he and other individuals who know about the disappearances of missing sabungeros or cockfighters share the same tattoo.
According to Ian Cruz’s exclusive report in “24 Oras” on Monday, Patidongan showed a tattoo symbolizing Saint Michael the Archangel below his nape. He said that there were some 20 of them who had the same tattoo to show their alliance.
“Yung isang kaibigan kong pulis, nagpadala ng picture na binago niya na yung tattoo sa likod. Yung tattoo namin sa dito likod, ngayon pinatakpan na nila. Pero halatang halata kahit takpan pa ninyo ng ilang tattoo ‘yan,” said Patidongan.
(My cop friend showed me a photo of his tattoo on the back, and he had it covered already. But it is still obvious, no matter how many tattoos you put on to conceal that.)
Patidongan earlier tagged Ang as the mastermind behind the abduction of over 30 sabungeros who have been missing since 2021. He said more than 100 were killed after being taken away.
The whistleblower, who claimed to be a former chief of security in Ang’s farms and cockfighting arenas, also linked actress Gretchen Barretto and two others to the disappearances.
But both Ang and Barretto denied the accusations, ations with the businessman's filing charges against Patidongan.
Following his allegations, Patidongan said that he has received several threats and even received a funeral wreath.
“Marami. Sa totoo lang, mayroon sa ano ko, pinadalhan ako ng bulaklak na ‘rest in peace.’ Hindi ako matatakot kung sino ka mang Poncio Pilato ka na nagpapadala sa akin ng ganyan. Takutin mo ang lolo mong panot, huwag ako,” he said.
(There were so many of them. I was sent a flower with ‘rest in peace’ on it. But I’m not afraid of you, whoever that Pontius Pilate is who sent that to me. Scare somebody else, not me.)
Patidongan said that he’s very thankful to the Philippine National Police. He is also trusting that Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla to handle the case well.
Patidongan said that his affidavit to be submitted to the DOJ was ready, but there were still some things that he was working on.
"'Yung affidavit na ‘yan, nandiyan na ‘yan. Katulad nung sinabi ko nung nakaraan, kulang pa talaga. Pero magantay ka Mr. Atong Ang, bumaliktad na lahat…" Patidongan said.
(The affidavit is already there. But just like what I’ve said before, there’s something more to be added. But just wait, Mr. Atong Ang, everyone has already turned their backs on you.) –GMA Integrated News
