Marcos distributes patient transport vehicles to Luzon provinces

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday led the distribution of patient transport vehicles (PTVs) to chiefs of local government units in Luzon.

The ceremonial distribution, which was attended by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Mel Robles and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, was held at the Quirino Grandstand.

''So, it is an ongoing program. Ito’y nagkataon lang na this is for – this is a release for most of Luzon. But we will continue to do this and hindi namin ititigil ito hangga’t lahat ng pangangailangan ng ating mga LGU ay nabigyan na natin, natugunan na natin ang kanilang requirement para dito sa mga patient transport vehicle na ito,'' Marcos said in his speech.

(We will not stop this until every LGU will be given this patient transport vehicle.)

A total of 123 patient transport vehicles will be given to Eastern Visayas and 105 in Mindanao, according to Marcos.

According to the PCSO, at least 387 patient transport vehicles would be distributed in Luzon.

The breakdown is as follows:

  • Region I: 30
  • Region II: 72
  • Region III: 99
  • Region IV-A: 27
  • Region IV-B: 60
  • Region V: 64
  • CAR: 35

The PCSO allocated P1 billion in 2025 to procure 395 more PTVs for requesting local government units and national government agencies.

These vehicles are targeted to be distributed beginning 2026.

So far, a total of 680 PTVs have been distributed across the country from July 2022 to June 2025. —KG/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
