UST designated as 2025 Bar Exams national headquarters —SC
The Supreme Court on Monday announced that it has designated the University of Santo Tomas as the national headquarters for the 2025 Bar examinations.
According to the court, this will be the first time that UST will serve as the main hub for the exams since it was decentralized in 2020.
“The act of serving for the 2025 Bar exams is never a burden. It is always a privilege. Serving the people is always an opportunity to lead, to uplift, and to inspire,” Bar chairperson Associate Justice and UST alumna Amy Lazaro-Javier said in a statement.
The university was officially chosen as the headquarters during a ceremony at the Supreme Court main building on July 9.
Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and Lazaro-Javier represented the SC while UST Secretary-General Rev. Fr. Louie Coronel represented the university.
For his part, Coronel assured that UST will be ready to support the Bar exams.
UST will also be among the 14 testing centers for the examinations.
The testing centers in Manila are:
- San Beda University – Mendiola in Manila
- New Era University in Quezon City
- Manila Adventist College in Pasay City
- San Beda College – Alabang in Muntinlupa City
- University of the Philippines – Bonifacio Global City in Taguig
- Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in Makati
Other testing centers across the country are:
- Saint Louis University in Baguio City
- University of Nueva Caceres in Naga City
- University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City
- Central Philippine University in Iloilo City
- Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation in Tacloban City
- Ateneo de Davao University in Davao City
- Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology in Iligan City
The examinations will take place on September 7, 10, and 14.
According to the SC, a total of 13,301 individuals have registered for the exams. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
