Marcos calls on public to report anomalies in flood control projects
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. has urged the public to take part in reporting those involved in faulty flood control projects.
On Monday, his administration launched sumbongsapangulo.ph, a website designed to provide the public with access to information on flood control projects across the country. This will also allow them to report any irregularities on the said projects.
''We cannot do all of this without the help of the ordinary citizen. We need the citizen to play their part, their civic duty to report to the government what they see as being wrong,'' Marcos said at a press conference in Malacañang.
He explained that the website is in a form that ''the public can use so that they can first identify the flood control projects that are within their area.''

Marcos said the whole audit process would not work unless people are involved.
''It is not going to be enough if only government is involved, if only DEPDev is involved, if only Public Works is involved, if only the Office of the President is involved,'' Marcos said.
''We need everyone involved. Because, I don't know, 80 million, 90 million pairs of eyes are better than all the eyes in (the) entire – entirety of government,'' he added.
The President committed that he would personally read the public's reports as regards the flood control projects.
"Ang isusulat ninyo sa report, ako mismo ang babasa. 'Yan ang asahan ninyo, babasahin ko ang bawat isa," Marcos said.
