GMANetwork.com ranked as the most visited Philippine news and media website for July 2025, topping both the country and global rankings, according to data from web analytics firm Similarweb.
GMA Leads Philippine and Global News Rankings
In the Philippine rankings, GMANetwork.com placed first at No. 87, followed by inquirer.net at No. 98, abs-cbn.com at No. 153, philstar.com at No. 161, and rappler.com at No. 250.
In the global rankings, GMANetwork.com led the way among Philippine news and media brands at No. 6,083. It was followed by inquirer.net at No. 6,339, abs-cbn.com at No. 9,630, philstar.com at No. 10,123, and rappler.com at No. 16,222.
GMANetwork.com dominated the country rankings for Philippine news and media websites for the first seven months of 2025, taking the top spot every time except in May.
It was previously the number one local publishing website worldwide in January, April, and June 2025.

Highest Page Views, Unique Visitors, and Engagement
GMANetwork.com logged 27.87 million total page views in July 2025 — the most among local news websites — and had the highest page views from both desktop and mobile users.
This was followed by inquirer.net with 22 million, abs-cbn.com with 14.3 million, philstar.com with 12.32 million, and rappler.com with 7.3 million.
GMA also led in monthly unique visitors, or the average number of unique visitors, with 3.446 million, ahead of inquirer.net with 3.304 million, philstar.com with 2.839 million, abs-cbn.com with 2.345 million, and rappler.com with 1.883 million.
In terms of average pages per visit, GMANetwork.com ranked first with 3.30, followed by abs-cbn.com with 2.41, inquirer.net with 2.28, philstar.com with 2.18, and rappler.com with 1.84.
GMANetwork.com also recorded 2.5 million visitors from social media platforms, the most among news sites. It also had 4.5 million visitors from search platforms and 1.5 million direct visitors. GMA dominated the 18–24 and 25–34 age demographics among news brands.
Major Stories Driving Traffic
High traffic in July was driven by coverage of major events, including President Marcos’ SONA 2025, developments in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, typhoon and weather updates, class suspension announcements, and the Manny Pacquiao vs. Mario Barrios fight.

According to the 2025 Digital News Report by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, GMA News Online — a key component of GMANetwork.com — had the widest weekly online reach in the Philippines at 52%.
It was followed by ABS-CBN News online at 44%, the Philippine Daily Inquirer online at 29%, Rappler at 23%, and The Philippine Star online at 20%.
The same report noted that GMA Network (24 Oras, Saksi, GTV) had the widest weekly offline reach at 51%, while Super Radyo DZBB (Super Balita) posted an additional 11% weekly offline reach. GMA Network also earned the highest trust score among major news brands at 67%.
The Reuters study was commissioned by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism to understand how news is being consumed in a range of countries.
