Religious group prays for gov’t officials to stand for truth, justice
In the middle of heavy rains, the Clergy for Good Governance (CGG) on Friday marched and prayed for government officials, particularly senators and justices, to stand for truth and justice for the sake of the nation.
The religious group trooped at the gates of the Senate in Pasay City this morning, carrying the image of Jesus Nazareno and the Blessed Virgin Mary, based on a Super Radyo dzBB report of Sam Nielsen.

The movement, dubbed as “Ayuno, Dasal, at Sakripisyo para sa Tunay na Pagbabago” (fast, walk, pray for true change), seeks prayers for public officials to “enlighten their minds, strengthen their hearts, and guide them toward truth and the common good.”
From the Senate, the CGG went to Malate Church in Manila to celebrate a holy mass, and will proceed to the Supreme Court. The group is also set to hold a vigil at the EDSA Shrine in the evening.
Fr. Raul Enriquez said that they will walk wearing sackcloth on their feet and will sprinkle ashes on their skin as part of their sacrifice, according to the dzBB report. —Giselle Ombay/LDF, GMA Integrated News
