Harold Cabreros is new OCD administrator
The Department of National Defense (DND) on Tuesday said Undersecretary Harold Cabreros is the new administrator of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
In a statement, the DND said Cabreros succeeded Assistant Secretary Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro IV, the deputy administrator for administration.
Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. presided over Cabreros’ oath-taking and turnover ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, on Tuesday.
Teodoro expressed confidence in Cabreros’ leadership and capabilities to steer the country's comprehensive civil defense and disaster resilience programs in support of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
According to the DND, Cabreros had also worked as the director of OCD’s rehabilitation and recovery management service.
The OCD is the primary government agency mandated to implement and administer policies, strategies, and systems to reduce the country's vulnerabilities and risks to hazards, as well as manage the consequences of disasters, the DND said. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
