Marcos to visit Cambodia next month

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. will have a state visit to Cambodia next month.

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro confirmed this at a briefing on Wednesday.

Castro said the travel date would be from September 7 to 9. 

Further details of the trip will be provided by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Castro said. 

This will be the second time that Marcos will visit Cambodia. His first trip was during the ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in November 2022. 

Official diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Cambodia were established on August 20, 1957.

The embassy serves more than 7,000 Filipinos living and working in Cambodia, most of whom belong to the skilled labor sector. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ/VBL, GMA Integrated News
