BI validating if those in 2nd flood control project lookout order still in PH
The Bureau of Immigration is currently checking the travel records of the personalities included in the second batch of immigration lookout bulletin order issued in connection with questionable flood control projects.
“Yung pangalawang batch na natanggap natin kahapon, inaantay pa po natin 'yung full list of the travel records of the individuals stated there,” BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval told GMA Integrated News’ Unang Balita in an interview Friday.
(For the second batch of ILBO we received yesterday, we are still waiting for the full list of the travel records of the individuals stated there.)
She said the individuals included in the initial ILBO are still in the Philippines,
She added some of the 35 personalities in the first batch of lookout order have left the country late August but have returned already.
“Doon po sa unang batch, 'yun po 'yung na-check na namin, lahat po nandito sa Pilipinas,” Sandoval said.
(For the first batch that we have checked, everyone is here in the Philippines.)
“Although meron pong mga recent na nagbiyahe, parang mga late August they left but they returned already,” she added.
(Although some of them recently traveled, they left around late August, but they returned already.)
Sandoval said she cannot disclose yet the identities of the individuals who flew out of the country.
“At this point, hindi ko muna ma-share 'yung mga finer details ng mga travel records ng mga individual, up until ma-submit po natin sa Department of Justice 'yung full report about it,” she said.

On Wednesday, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla signed the initial batch of ILBO against 35 contractors and officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways linked to the anomalous flood control projects in the country.
On Thursday, it was announced that a total of 43 individuals allegedly involved in the questionable projects are under the second batch of ILBO.
An ILBO instructs immigration officers to double check if there are any pending arrest warrants against the subjects, any violation or infraction, or to monitor their itineraries and whereabouts should they attempt to leave the country.
BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado earlier clarified that the ILBO is for monitoring purposes only, and not sufficient to stop a subject from leaving the Philippines.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has called for an investigation into anomalous flood control projects as many parts of the country have been submerged amid heavy rains in the past months.
Several government agencies, as well as the Senate and the House of Representatives, have launched their respective investigations.
