Marcos celebrates birthday through 'Salo-salo sa Palasyo'

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday had an early celebration of his 68th birthday as he opened Malacañang to the public for the ''Salo-Salo sa Palasyo.''

Supporters from Metro Manila and as far as the Ilocos region personally greeted the Chief Executive and the First Family.

The President, whose birthday is on September 13, arrived at the venue riding a golf cart with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and son, William Vincent. Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte Representative Ferdinand Alexander ''Sandro'' Marcos was also present in the celebration.

The crowd also sang ''Happy Birthday'' for the President.

The Salo-Salo sa Palasyo has become a yearly tradition under the Marcos administration, symbolizing openness, gratitude, and the enduring bond between the President and the public.

Booths serving food and refreshments were there for the attendees. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
