Sara Duterte meets with Rodante Marcoleta at Senate
Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday afternoon went to the Senate to have a meeting with Senator Rodante Marcoleta and other allies.
The Vice President refused to give the media details about what transpired during her visit to Marcoleta, a member of the Senate minority.
She said that she has to catch a flight to Sultan Kudarat and will be back at the Senate on Thursday.
Duterte’s meeting with Marcoleta lasted for almost an hour. She also met with other allies in the upper chamber, namely Senators Bong Go, Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, and Imee Marcos.
“Bilang senador ay sinalubong ko siya rito sa baba kanina. Hindi ako kasama sa meeting… Matagal na kaming magkakilala at mag-kasama. Anak siya ng boss ko, si dating pangulo Rodrigo Duterte, syempre dapat kong salubungin dito sa Senado,” Go said in an ambush interview.
(As a senator, I welcomed her here. I’m not included in the meeting... We have known each other and worked together for a long time. She’s the daughter of my boss, former president Rodrigo Duterte, of course I should welcome her here at the Senate.) — Giselle Ombay/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
