Marcos inks reformed Right of Way Act
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. has signed the Accelerated and Reformed Right of Way Act.
This was confirmed by Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro to reporters on Thursday. Republic Act No. 12289 amends Republic Act No. 10752, or The Right of Way Act.
The copy of the new law has yet to be released.
The Senate had said that the ARROW Act, sponsored by Senator Mark Villar, seeks to institute reforms in the acquisition of right-of-way for infrastructure projects by the national government and by public service providers.
This new law shall apply to the infrastructure projects of the national government and its public service facilities, engineering works, and service contracts.
It is among the priority measures of the Marcos administration. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
