Death toll from Super Typhoon Nando has risen to 3, according to the latest figures from the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday. 

The super typhoon also left 9 people injured, while five persons are reported missing. 

NDRRMC said the figures are for validation. 

Earlier, NDRRMC reported 1 death in a landslide in Tuba, Benguet. 

The super typhoon affected 35,264 families, or 123,142 people, in 8 regions and 24 provinces. 

15,517 persons from Region 1, 2, 3, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and CAR were also reported to have preemptively evacuated. 

Flooding also remains a problem in 128 areas, including some in the National Capital Region (NCR).

So far, 28 homes and 13 infrastructure were damaged by Nando.

NDRRMC also reported that 674 cities and municipalities suspended classes while 638 had work suspensions because of Nando. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
