Brice Hernandez surrenders Lamborghini to independent commission

Former Bulacan 1st district assistant engineer Brice Hernandez on Wednesday surrendered another luxury vehicle to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) amid the ongoing probe on anomalous flood control projects.

Hernandez surrendered a Lamborghini, following his turnover last week of a luxury sport utility vehicle.

According to the DOJ, Hernandez, contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya, dismissed Bulacan 1st district engineer Henry Alcantara, and former Bulacan first district assistant engineer Jaypee Mendoza are now under the Witness Protection Program.

In an interview on “Balitanghali,” Atty. Raymond Fortun, Hernandez’s legal counsel, said his client has yet to reveal more personalities involved in the anomalous flood control projects.

“Sure ako na may mga personalidad na hindi pa nababanggit and that’s why we are hoping na when Brice submits his affidavit, it can be favorably considered by the DOJ as the starting point for an investigation, which would lead to the prosecution of the people na dapat panagutin para dito sa mga baha na nangyayari dito sa Central Luzon, as well as elsewhere,” Fortun said.

("I’m sure there are still personalities who have not been named, and that’s why we are hoping that when Brice submits his affidavit, it will be favorably considered by the Department of Justice as a starting point for an investigation, which would lead to the prosecution of those accountable for the flooding in Central Luzon, as well as in other areas.)

Fortun added that Hernandez’s desktop computer, which contains files that can support claims against politicians involved in the anomalous flood control projects, will be surrendered to the DOJ.

“Today, itong desktop computer, ibibigay dun sa DOJ as a show of sincerity na meron talaga cooperation in order to be qualified to enter the Witness Protection Program,” Fortun said.
