DOH on white alert for Opong

The Department of Health (DOH) is on white alert as part of its preparations for Severe Tropical Storm Opong's landfall on Friday, September 26.

Under white alert, the DOH Operations Center will prepare the medicines, medical equipment, and health emergency response teams for the regions expected to be affected by the storm.

For emergencies, DOH said the public may reach out to the national emergency hotline 911 or any local emergency hotlines.

At 2 p.m., Opong was located 705 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
