LIVE UPDATES: Senate probe on flood control projects (Sept. 25, 2025)

The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee resumed its hearing on anomalous flood control projects on Thursday. Expected to attend the investigation are contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya and former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) officials Henry Alcantara, Brice Hernandez, and Jaypee Mendoza. 

The resumption of the probe comes a day after the Justice Department said that the Discayas, Alcantara, Hernandez, and Mendoza are now "protected witnesses" under its Witness Protection Program (WPP).

Meanwhile, Hernandez's lawyer, Atty. Raymond Fortun, said Wednesday that four incumbent and two former senators could be linked to the anomalous flood control projects.
