Fresh milk plant in Pampanga to provide better livelihood for farmers —Marcos

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday expressed confidence that the inauguration of the fresh milk plant would bring additional employment to farm workers in San Simon, Pampanga.

''Sa pagpapasinaya natin ng Farm Fresh Milk Incorporated Plant, layon nating tiyakin ang karagdagang lokal na produksyon at suplay ng gatas sa bansa. With Farm Fresh here, we are hoping, we are looking forward to a much larger supply of fresh milk for our people,'' Marcos said in his speech during the inauguration of the plant.

(In launching the Farm Fresh Milk Incorporated Plant, we are aiming to ensure additional local production and supply of milk in the country. With Farm Fresh here, we are hoping, we are looking forward to a much larger supply of fresh milk for our people.)

''Magbibigay din ito ng mga oportunidad na magkaroon ng kabuhayan ang mga magsasaka at mga farm workers natin dito sa komunidad. Bukod sa mas epektibong produksyon, magbibigay din ito ng mas magandang kinabukasan para sa ating kababayan,'' he added.

(This will also give opportunities for farmers and farm workers to have additional livelihood. Aside from enhanced production, this will also give better livelihood for our kababayans.)

Marcos is hoping that Farm Fresh would expand more of its operations in the country.

''Through your efforts, more Filipino farmers, veterinarians can now have a more stable and dignified job. So, I hope you will continue to improve and expand your operations, while bringing greater opportunities to our communities,'' Marcos said.

According to Marcos, the government is also studying measures on how to improve dairy production in the country.

After the launch of the fresh milk plant, Marcos also led the distribution of livelihood assistance to Aeta communities successfully reintegrated at the Katutubo Village in Barangay Planas in Porac, Pampanga.

An initial distribution of 60 carabaos and 30 garetas (carabao-drawn carts) was given to the Aeta community, where 127 Aetas were reintegrated through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Pag-abot Program.
