GMA Integrated News reporter Bernadette Reyes wins PSA's best statistical reporting award


GMA Integrated News reporter Bernadette Reyes won in the 36th National Statistical Month Media Awards for Best Statistical Segment in TV Broadcast Media. 

Her report "Teenage Pregnancy," which aired on "24 Oras" in February 2025 tells of the increasing number of pregnant teenagers 14 years old and below, the youngest of whom is only 8 years old. 

This is the second consecutive year that Reyes has won the award. 

The award is given to a TV segment or documentary program on social and economic conditions that used statistical data in reporting or broadcasting.  

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the award is for the "accurate, timely and significant use of statistics exemplifying wide reach and impact through public service in pursuit of delivering evidence-based reports" 

The winners were feted during the opening ceremony of National Statistical Month held at the Manila Hotel in Manila.
