Brice Hernandez, Jaypee Mendoza submit ‘tell-all’ affidavit — lawyer

Former Bulacan first district assistant engineers Brice Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza submitted a “tell-all” affidavit to the Department of Justice (DOJ) over anomalous flood control projects, their lawyer said Wednesday.

Atty. Ernest Levanza, their legal counsel, described their meeting with the Justice Department as “good” and “productive.”

The lawyer said his two clients submitted an affidavit that he described as “tell-all.”

“Siguro, we’ll leave it that way muna. It’s all here. Everything’s here,” he said.

“For now nag participate kami. We participated sa investigation and we filed our respective affidavits,” he added.

Both Hernandez and Mendoza are protected witnesses under the Witness Protection Program. They are not state witnesses.

Their sworn testimonies as well as the testimonies of Engineer Henry Alcantara and former Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Roberto Mendoza led the National Bureau of Investigation to recommend the prosecution of former House Appropriations Chair Zaldy Co and several senators. —RF, GMA Integrated News
