Foreigners wooed to visit PH as World Expo 2025 nears end
OSAKA, Japan — Despite the intermittent rains, the Philippine Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan was packed even up to the last hour before it formally ends its six-month run at the tourism fair on Monday, October 13.
Its unique and immersive executions flaunted the Philippines’ arts and culture, tourist spots, products, and technology in a bid to court more foreigners to visit the Philippines.

Japanese visitor Sake Shinsha toured the Philippine Pavilion with her husband and 4-year old son Takeru.
The crowd-favorite ‘Dancing with Nature’ immersive wall piqued their interest the most as its technology mimicked their movements and digitally reimagined them as part of the Philippine ecosystem.
Sake said they had just visited the Philippines in May for a family vacation. She, however, noted that the brief trip was “not enough.”
“We love to go to the Philippines more and more…We miss the Philippines,” she said.

Mexican visitor Enrique Fonesca said he was unfamiliar with the tourism gems in the Philippines until he went around the pavilion.
“I saw that you have good beaches there and I love beaches, so that’s the kind of visiting that I will do in the Philippines,” he said.
The Philippine Pavilion, which clinched silver in the Bureau International des Expositions’ self-built pavilion exhibition design category, has attracted over 1.1 million visitors since it opened in April. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
