Marcy Teodoro brings 28 witnesses to DOJ vs female cops

Marikina City 1st District Representative Marcy Teodoro on Tuesday brought 28 witnesses with him to the Department of Justice where he attended the preliminary investigation on the acts of lasciviousness and sexual assault raps against him.

According to Manny Vargas’ Super Radyo dzBB report, Teodoro also filed his counter affidavit and submitted the witnesses' testimonies and a USB containing photos to prove where he was during the alleged crime.

“For the preliminary investigation, pinakaimportante dito ay nanumpa si Congressman Marcy Teodoro sa kanyang counter affidavit at dinala namin lahat ng kanyang witnesses,” said Atty. Alma Mallonga, Teodoro’s lawyer.

(For the preliminary investigation, the most important thing is that Congressman Marcy Teodoro executed a sworn counter affidavit and we brought all the witnesses.)

“We have about 28 witnesses, by the way. Lahat sila pumunta dito (they all came) to show that the incredible tale being presented by the complainant could not even happen. Walang oportunidad para gawin yung sinsabi nilang nagawa (there was no opportunity to do what they claimed had happened),” she added.

The alleged victims, who have yet to coordinate with their lawyers, also attended the preliminary investigation but did not face the media.

Mallonga claimed the allegations were “sham complaints” since the complainants were not named and they refused to answer Teodoro’s questions.

Of his 28 witnesses, four to five were police officers, Teodoro said.

“Doon sa mga araw na nabanggit, wala silang nakikita ang kakaiba at wala silang nakikita ang panghahalay dahil kasama nila allegedly yung victim. Against human behavior naman eh meron isang pagakakataon na nakasama kumain ba, nakasama magsaya tapos sinabi na nahalay. May patunay,” Teodoro said.

(On those days mentioned, they didn’t see anything strange or the alleged rape because the alleged victim was with them. This is against human behavior. There were instances where someone ate with them, had fun with them, and then said that they were raped. There is proof.)

On Monday, Teodoro filed a complaint for two counts of perjury against two female police officers who accused him of sexual assault.

“Inaasahan namin sa perjury charges namin, doon malalaman natin ang katotohanan. Pati ang mga taong may gawa nito at mga taong nag-isip, nagplano, gumawa ng script, mukhang isang malaking script na ginawa,” Teodoro said on Tuesday.

(We expect that we will find out the truth in the perjury charges we filed, including the people who thought, planned, and made the script. It seems that there is a big script in this.)

Mallonga added that Teodoro’s camp is mulling the possible filing of charges against the two female police officers before the Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/JMA, GMA Integrated News
