Caloocan City gov’t to resume classes, gov't work on Oct. 16 after bomb threat
The Caloocan City government on Wednesday immediately suspended classes in private and public schools and work in government offices due to the series of bomb threats received by schools and the Caloocan City Hall.
As of Wednesday evening, Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said the bomb threats have been cleared and that classes and work in government offices in Caloocan City will resume on Thursday, Oct. 16.
In an initial post on social media on Wednesday afternoon, Malapitan said schools in North and South Caloocan as well as City Hall received the bomb threats.

(We have instructed our Caloocan City Police to ensure everyone’s safety, conduct a thorough investigation, and hold accountable those who are causing trouble in our city.)
Among the schools that Malapitan inspected are the Silanganan Elementary School and the Tala High School.
The Caloocan City Police also inspected the Caloocan City Hall, according to a report by Super Radio dzBB's Isa Avendaño-Umali.

In his latest update on social media at past 7 p.m., Malapitan said classes and work in government offices in Caloocan City will resume on Oct. 16 as the threats have been cleared.
(I ordered the Caloocan City Police Station to once inspect these areas once more and to strengthen police visibility, especially in schools, for the peace of mind of our students, teachers, and parents.)
Authorities will continue to investigate the person or people behind the bomb threats to hold them accountable under the country's laws.
