NGCP restores Gumaca-Atimonan Line, says all facilities under normal operations
Transmission lines and facilities of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) have returned to normal operations as of Sunday afternoon, after the restoration of a line that caters to households in Quezon.
In an advisory on Sunday afternoon, the NGCP said it restored the Gumaca-Atimonan 69-kilovolt line that caters to customers of Quezon Electric Cooperative (QUEZELCO) 1 at 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 19.
“NGCP’s transmission lines and facilities are under normal operations,” the NGCP said.
This comes as 17 areas are currently under tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS) 2, and 30 other areas under TCWS 1, due to Tropical Storm Ramil (international name: Fensghen).
The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) earlier on Sunday said its crews are on standby 24/7 to address any power-related issues. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/RF, GMA Integrated News
