Marcos renews commitment to provide Filipinos with decent housing
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday renewed his commitment of providing affordable and decent housing for Filipinos.
“Hangga’t may mga Pilipinong nagnanais ng sariling tahanan, hindi po titigil ang pamahalaan sa aming pagkilos. Walang hihinto sa trabaho. Walang maiiwanan sa Bagong Pilipinas,” Marcos said during the National Housing Expo in Pasay City.
(As long as there’s a Filipino who aims to have their own home, the administration will not stop its work. No one will be left behind under Bagong Pilipinas.)
The housing expo showcases a wide range of services—from home design and planning to financial assistance and housing loan processing.
Marcos also lauded the Pag-IBIG Fund as one of the government’s strongest and most reliable partners when it comes to the housing sector.
He said that nearly P75 billion in cash loans were released, which benefits around three million members.
Meanwhile, under the government’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program, more Filipinos are gaining access to affordable housing assistance.
Through Pag-IBIG Fund, low-income earners can avail of housing loans with interest rates for as low as three percent per annum, while overseas Filipino workers may also benefit from the low interest rate. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
