SC mourns passing of Cebu judge in road accident
The Supreme Court is mourning the passing of a Cebu judge who lost her life in a road accident on October 22, Wednesday.
According to the court, Municipal Circuit Trial Court Aloguinsan-Pinamungajan Presiding Judge Carmela Rosario Pasquin was on her way to court on a motorcycle when the incident occurred.
“The SC extends its heartfelt condolences to Judge Pasquin’s family, loved ones, and the entire MCTC Aloguinsan-Pinamungajan staff during this time of grief,” it said.
The SC said Pasquin began her legal career in 2010.
She joined the judiciary in 2019 as a branch clerk of court in the Barotac Regional Trial Court Branch 71 and was then promoted as a Clerk of Court VI in the same court in 2021.
She became the presiding judge in 2024. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
