De Lima discloses P10.7-M net worth in SALN
Mamamayang Liberal party-list Representative Leila de Lima released her Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) on Friday, declaring a net worth of P10.78 million as of July 2025.
De Lima recorded 1.49 million worth of real properties which is the total value of seven agricultural land, as well as 9.29 million worth of personal assets under her assets.
Her personal properties include:
- P900,000 private insurance
- P850,000 furniture
- P535,000 appliances
- P1.09 million Mitsubishi Strada
- P1.564 million Mitsubishi Montero
- P3.1 million worth of jewelry
- P1.251 million worth of cash on hand/bank deposits
De Lima did not record any liabilities.
Likewise, De Lima’s SALN did not show any relatives working in government as well as business interest and other transactions.
De Lima earlier said that all public officials should make their SALNs public.
"Hindi naman talaga dapat itinatago at pahirapan ang pagsasapubliko ng SALN. That’s why, along with our fellow Liberal Party (LP) lawmakers in the House of Representatives, we are pushing for the mandatory disclosure of the SALNs of all public officials, including the President, Vice President, and other high-ranking officials, as part of our proposed People’s Freedom of Information (FOI) Act," De Lima said.
(SALNs should not be hidden.)
"This [FOI] measure must be urgently passed to strengthen our fight for transparency and accountability. Given the magnitude and depth of corruption in the country, this should have been enacted long ago. We must do better and demand stronger policies in the fight against corruption. Make it work for the people. Make it work with the people," De Lima added.
Other House members who earlier released their SALNs include:
- Akbayan party-list representative Chel Diokno
- Akbayan party-list representative Percival Cendaña and
- Akbayan party-list representative Dadah Ismula
- Dinagat Rep. Arlene "Kaka" Bag-ao
- ACT Teachers party-list Rep. Antonio Tinio
- Gabriela party-list Rep. Sarah Elago
- Kabataan party-list Rep. Renee Co
- Kamanggagawa party list Rep. Eli San Fernando
- Cavite Fourth District Rep. Francisco "Kiko" Barzaga and
- Speaker and Isabela Rep. Faustino "Bojie" Dy III
Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla earlier issued a memo scrapping restrictions on access SALN of public officials whose repository of the SALN are with the Ombudsman’s office, including the requirement of securing the consent of the SALN owner before public disclosure.
The Ombudsman also called on other branches of government to adopt the same policy. — Llanesca T. Panti/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
