Marcos, Australia's Albanese discuss trade, defense at ASEAN Summit

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Tuesday.

In a social media post, Albanese said "Australia is stronger because of our vibrant Filipino community."

''Together, Australia and the Philippines have built a strong friendship going back decades,'' Albanese said.

''President Marcos and I met today to discuss how we can work more closely on trade, defense and security and more,'' he added.
