PITX Senior Corporate Affairs Officer Kolyn Calbasa said at least 2.1 million individuals are seen to arrive at the landport from Monday, October 27 to November 5.

“Simula kagabi nag-start na ang numbers natin. Coming from our normal na 150,000 daily, ngayon ay nakita natin ang 188,000 na foot traffic,” Calbasa told PTV-4’s Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon.

(We are seeing the rise in figures starting yesterday. From 150,000 daily average, the foot traffic reached 188,000.)

Various measures were implemented at the PITX to ensure public safety amid the expected exodus including the deployment of at least 45 police officers within the PITX vicinity.

PITX officials also held inter-agency meetings with other bodies including the Department of Transportation (DoTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) .
