DOH deploys doctors, medical teams along expressways for Undas 2025

The Department of Health (DOH) assured the public that emergency medical support is available at major expressways during Undas 2025.

On the first day of the Undas, DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa conducted site inspections on emergency teams stationed along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

In a statement on Friday, DOH said that doctors and emergency responders are prepared to conduct first aid, minor surgery, consultations, and diagnostics in emergency tents.

The teams were put in place amid the high influx of passengers expected to travel to and from provinces for Undas.

Earlier, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) reported that a total of 28,000 passengers were recorded at the terminal by 7 a.m. on Friday.

It is projected to reach 180,000 to 190,000 for the rest of the day.

More passengers are expected over the rest of the weekend.

Meanwhile, DOH also said that first aid stations have been placed in cemeteries for immediate response to medical emergencies of visitors.

The agency has placed its central office at Centers for Health Development on Code White for the duration of Undas 2025. —Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
