Lingayen Airport closed for Undas 2025

Lingayen Airport closed for Undas 2025

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Saturday said it has ordered the temporary closure of Lingayen Airport in observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.

In a statement, the CAAP explained that the airport is located adjacent to the Lingayen Public Cemetery and has long served as a shortcut for cemetery visitors heading to the graves of their loved ones.

“With thousands expected to flock to the area, airport operations during Undas pose safety and security concerns for both the public and flight operations,” it said.

In line with this, the aviation regulator issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), in effect from 7 a.m. on October 31 until 4 p.m. on November 2.

“The NOTAM covers all flight operations, including those of three flying schools operating at Lingayen Airport,” the CAAP said. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
