DOH on Code White Alert for Undas 2025

The Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday that it has raised Code White alert in observance of Undas, or All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

"Hanggang November 2 nakaataas ang Code White Alert sa lahat ng mga DOH hospitals, central at regional offices sa buong bansa. Matatandaang inactivate ito bago pa mag-Undas, October 31," it said in a statement.

(Code White Alert is in effect in all DOH hospitals, central and regional offices nationwide until November 2. It is inactive before Undas, October 31.)

"Ang Code White Alert ay hudyat ng kahandaan ng mga ospital at healthcare workers nito kaugnay ng isang malawakang aktibidad tulad ng Undas. Kasamang naka-alerto ang operations center ng mga ospital para makipag-ugnayan at mag-ulat sa mga regional at central office ng DOH," it added.

(The Code White Alert signals the readiness of hospitals and healthcare workers in connection with a widespread activity such as Undas. The hospitals' operations centers are also on alert to coordinate and report to the regional and central offices of the DOH.)

The agency said two fully equipped emergency ambulances, or level 3 ambulances, are on standby at the Manila North and Manila South cemeteries in case of patients who need to be brought to the ER.

Health Secretary Ted Herbosa, meanwhile, urged the public to observe cough etiquette, the washing of hands, and the use of alcohol amid the flu season.

The DOH further advised the public to bring water and maintenance medicines while visiting cemeteries. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
