Philippine Air Force completes four-year inspection of C-295 aircraft
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Tuesday marked the completion of the four-year inspection of its C-295 aircraft with Tail Number 215 at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.
A ceremony was held to turn over the aircraft’s documents to Brigadier General Joseph Archog, Wing Commander of the PAF’s 220th Airlift Wing.
“The C-295 medium-lift aircraft, a vital asset of the PAF’s air mobility fleet, continues to play a critical role in tactical airlift missions, humanitarian assistance, and disaster response operations across the country,” the PAF said in a statement.
The successful completion of its periodic inspection underscored the PAF’s commitment to sustain mission-ready air assets for their timely and effective operations in support of national objectives.
The C-295 aircraft's four-year major inspection was performed in the Philippines by Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) in partnership with the PAF’s 410th Maintenance Wing.
The process included on-the-job training for PAF personnel. This is the second C-295 to complete a major scheduled inspection here in the Philippines.
“This milestone reflects the PAF’s enduring commitment to airworthiness, reliability, and excellence in carrying out its sworn mandate to defend the nation and serve the Filipino people with honor, integrity, and professionalism,” the PAF added. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
